Tarkin Thursday
This Grand Moff Tarkin scribble was done . . . very badly. Argh. I loved the original sketch, but jacked it up during the inking/coloring tages. I may re-do it.
This is why I prefer pixels.
It was inked with Faber-Castell pens and colored with Prismacolor markers on 9x12" 300 Series Smooth Bristol art board.

I think it looks great, ESPECIALLY in gray. :)

Thanks, Lori.
I'm just bummed that I screwed up the whole piece with a couple of badly placed brushstrokes. One happened when Yoshi jumped up on my drawing table and sent my brush pen off course.
Then I wasn't paying attention to my coloring because SOMEONE kept sending me Instant Messages, and I screwed up the rim light on his uniform, and then ruined it more by trying ti fix it with some ill-advised shadows.
Oh well, like I said . . . I'll probably redo it.

Sure, blame it on poor Yoshi...
If you hadn't gotten those IM's, he would have been green. ;)

He really DID jump up and bump my arm! Ask him!
But I'm to blame as well. I was multi-tasking, as usual, and screwed up.
Oh well.

Wow...now I feel like a talent thief AND a nuisance, thanks Otis!
I would ask Yoshi, but getting an appointment to speak with him isn't an easy task. So I've been told anyway.
(It still looks great no matter how bad you think you fuddled it up.)

Good word.
