COMMISSION STATUS (March 1st, 2012):
Due to my comic workload, I am not currently taking on commission work.
Feel free to send me an E-MAIL with a request and I'll put you on my waiting list. Otherwise, please check back later in 2012 when I may open up commissions again.

I am currently offering the following options for ordering commissions and original artwork from me:
• Big Fat Digital Commissions: A single or character, digitally-colored 7.5"x14" piece for $150 (You will receive the high-resolution digital file of the final colored piece for printing). The piece can include text upon request. Add $25 for each additional character. This format is ideal for cinematic scenes.
Here are a couple of my most recent Big Fat Digital Commissions:
I also offer EXTRA Big Fat Digital Commissions for $25 more. These measure 7.5"x17". Here are my most recent EXTRA Big Fat Digital Commissions:
• Big Tall Digital Commissions: New! A single character, digitally-colored 11"x17" piece for $150 (You will receive the high-resolution digital file of the final colored piece for printing). The piece can include text upon request. Add $25 for each additional character. This format is ideal for poster or comic book cover style images.
Here are a couple of my most recent Big Tall Digital Commissions:
• Standard Sized Digital Commissions: New! A single character, digitally-colored 8.5"x11" (tall) piece for $75 (You will receive the high-resolution digital file of the final colored piece for printing). These commissions will feature single characters with an abstract/color background. No scenes and no text.
Here are a couple of my most recent Standard Sized Digital Commissions:
NOTE: I will not use Digital Commission images as prints/posters to be sold or in any other way distribute the high resolution files for reproduction. Only the buyer of the Digital Commission and myself will ever have access or permission to print or make copies of the final image. This policy serves to make ownership of a Digital Commission unique to the buyer in the same way that a traditional ink & marker drawing would be. I will only use low-res versions of the final images for online promotion to encourage further sales and as samples in my general art portfolio. If the buyer of a digital commission uses the final digital file to make prints for any other purpose aside from personal, private use (reselling prints, making T-shirts, using the image for online promotion, etc), I will then consider the final image free to use for selling as prints myself.
Go HERE to see photos of how some of my clients have framed and displayed digital commissions!
• 9"x12" Pen & Marker Commissions: An original, full-color piece of artwork featuring one character drawn on 9"x12" Bristol with Micron pens and Prismacolor markers (and sometimes watercolor) for $100. Add $25 for each additional character. Here are a couple of my most recent Pen & Marker Commissions:
Note: For both traditional and digital commissions, I will schedule two commissions per week. I will be taking one month's worth of orders at a time and placing subsequent requests on a waiting list. This means that you will only be charged when I am ready to put you on my schedule and no one will have to wait more than one month for an order to be completed. I will complete each order live on my artcast so that the buyer can see some of their commission being created.
Please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery of original artwork for commissions. High resolution files for Digital Commissions are sent via e-mail as a full resolution JPEG, but I can provide a TIFF or PDF upon request.

• 7-7-Sunday Commissions Drawn Live: Every Sunday night at 9PM CST I offer these commissions for purchase via my artcast. Go HERE for more information! Go HERE to view the 7-7-Sunday gallery! **UPDATE (August 21st, 2011): 7-7-Sunday is on hiatus until further notice. It will be back . . .

I only accept PayPal payments.
I require payment one month in advance to get on my commission/artcast schedule. No exceptions.
If you have a commission request (or any questions) please send me an email at otis@otisframpton.com and write "Commission Request/Question" in the subject line. Thanks!
-Otis

I have many 7x7 pieces and all of them rock. Its always a surprise to see what you do with a character, but never does it turn out in disappointment. What I like best about your work is that you take your time with each piece and even rework certain aspects if you're not happy. You can never go wrong with an Otis original!

I love all of my commissions. I have a couple of 7x7 pieces, a number of wide sketch cards, and a nice Aliens piece that you can see in his commissions gallery. Otis has a take on each character that he draws that makes them unique. I think the facial expressions he chooses are excellent. I am currently trying to decide on which characters I would like on a 9x12 commission.

I own over 250 original pieces by Otis. He's pretty good at this art thing. His customer service skills ain't too shabby either. ;)

I have been lucky enough to get a few of Otis's 7/7 Sunday pieces and a couple of his big fat sketch cards. A very talent artist who I highly recommend getting an original piece of art from...I know I'll be back for more :)

I have about 20 official cards Otis drew for the Topps LOTR Evolution set along with 15-20 PSCs & 7-7 Sunday pieces. The best part of the PSCs & 7-7 Sunday pieces is getting to watch him create them.
Otis' style has evolved as I've been collecting his work and while he may think some of his older work is not up to his current standards, I love them all! Otis has also communicated any schedule changes and has sent out all items promptly & well protected. I'll be buying many more pieces from him over the years!

Otis drew a card for me during his Big Fat Sketch Card event, and I couldn't have been more pleased. It was a treat to be able to add him to the list of artists I've had to draw my characters.

They do not come any more professional than Otis. It's just not possible. If you are commissioning original art, this is the man you want to be doing it from. Trust me; I stayed at a Holiday Inn once.

I have had the pleasure of meeting Otis several years ago at SDCC. I have several original sketches by Otis in my sketchbooks as well as an awesome sketch card from the second Big Fat Sketch Card sale. My wife loves the BFSC. It is always fun to watch him create a new piece of art. Every con we go to we seek Otis out and introduce him to our friends that have not met him yet. His creativity, professionalism, and personal attention that he gives each piece is truly one of a kind.

Otis is the king of the "online" artcast!
Not only is his work to be treasured, loved, framed, and gawked at, but it is difficult to come by. Once people get it in their greedy little hands, they don't seem to want to let go. Frampton-greed runs rampant.

There are many amazingly talented artists on the Artcast Network (I should know, I'm one of them *wink*), but in the past I've started MY OWN show late because I was watching Otis draw a commission (and it wasn't even for ME). I've purchased a dozen or so commissions from Otis and (unfortunately for my wallet) I have no intention of stopping. The man knows composition like a cinematographer and it shows in his mastery of "mis en scene." Each sketch card is a miniature masterpiece, every comic page; a Spielbergian adventure in storytelling. Mahalo!

Otis is a great source of knowledge on this drawing thing---I have learned a lot from him. Always fun to watch and I am always amazed when I get the work at the fine detail. Have recommended his site to many.

I have a rather excellent Big Fat sketch card of Mister Miracle and Darkseid, and it looks great!
I've tried several times to get in on the 7-7, only to get distracted at the last moment when I was due to enter my request.
One of the great things about missing though, is that you still get to watch Otis work.
