Superman

I was in a Superman mood after watching the recent DVD release of my favorite film of the year (so far), so  decided to finish a drawing I started when the film was released in theaters.

It measures 11"x14" on smooth Bristol art board.  Drawn with mircon pens, Prismacolor markers and colored pencils.

And it's for sale!

Full Time

As of this week, I will be working full time on comics and illustration!

That's right, I'm taking the plunge and making a go of it in the dangerous world of freelance.  I have my wonderful partner-in-crime Leigh to thank for this opportunity.  Her love and support make this possible, so I work for her now.  And she's the best boss I could ever have.  Thanks, Leigh.

Anyway . . . all of this means that I am now very available for commissions and sketch cards (either Lord of the Rings aftermarket jobs or personal sketch cards)!  So if you've ever wanted to commission artwork from me, this is the time.  I'll also begin offering original artwork for sale here on my blog!  Part of my daily routine will be a warm-up session, and hopefully some of the artwork I generate from that will be worthy of selling, so check back often to see what is up for sale.  Oh and I still have sketchbooks for sale (with a few original drawings featured in the book to give away with them), so order yours today!

And of course this means I will be posting more to this blog now that I have more time to do so.  This month will be spent mostly working on Lord of the Rings: Masterpieces sketch cards, but I'll also be writing future installments of Oddly Normal and begin work on Flynn, my next graphic novel.  So I'll keep everyone up to date on the progress of those projects and show off some work from them when I can.
